Paroa station is named for the tūpuna Paroa, of Ngāti Paroa hapū within Ngāti Pāhauwera. In 1959, 45 landowners consolidated 13 blocks totalling 2,813 acres into a single trust — farmed sustainably, for whānau past, present, and future.
