Education

Paroa Trust has a focus for Education which in general, is to support all learners beginning with pre-school children right up to tertiary students.

We have recognised our Te Kohanga Reo, Ngai Tane Kohanga Reo and Te Rau o Te Oriwa Kohanga Reo by giving a koha to use to buy new resources.

Paroa Trust is very dedicated to our local school, Mohaka School and want to recognise this on an annual basis.

We also have annual scholarships/grants for students who must be in fulltime study working towards a recognised agricultural programme. 

For those children having to pay their NCEA registrations, we here at Paroa Trust can provide whanau with a $20 contribution towards these fees as long as they are Paroa beneficiaries. Money is granted on receipt of application. This must be brought to the AGM and be signed by a shareholder. Receipts need to accompany application also as proof of payment.
